I’m currently 1 week away from retiring from my career in Information Security to become a full time fiber artist. I am so excited to be able to start devoting much of my days to creating beautiful fabric. It’s really a dream come true.
Since I’ll be able to focus on fiber arts in my studio, I can take on more projects. I have been gathering all the tools to start dying some of my own fiber this spring and I can’t wait to document the process. I am looking forward to the days when I can spin my own yarn, dye it in the colors I want, and then weave it for a truly one of a kind garment.
I have a suspicion that it won’t take long before I wonder how I was ever able to find time for a tech career! Can you hear that? It’s the patterns and colors and textures calling me to come play. Their voices get louder every day! It’s nearly time!
