I’m down to only one more towel to finish on this warp. This is when my desire to know what goes on next kicks in. I thought it would be the pink one from my last post, but there’s a handpainted warp I really want to explore that’s really calling to me hard.

Aren’t those colors amazing? And don’t they scream Autumn?!
So this is most likely going to be the next project.
Now I get to make some choices.
The first choice, which is my first instinct, is to pair this with a solid medium hued brown. This will blend into the browns of the warp plus it will make the blues and greens really pop.

Yes, these fibers really are that shiny. They are gorgeous. First time working with them, so that’s exciting.
My next steps are:
1. Calculate width of available threads
2. Use previous calculation to choose the number of pieces to make and what sizes they will be.
3. Create the pattern in my software app. Plan in changes so all pieces are unique. This is a personal preference. I like the challenge of variety.
I’ll make a post on just that part.
Would you like to see the fibers in my Studio? I made two short videos to show you.
